OUR STORY
Some stories begin long before us. Ours starts in the late 19th century, in an olive grove planted by José Maria Eugénio de Almeida, the first Count of Vill’Alva, in the Baixo Alentejo.
For generations, our family has worked the land with their hands, guided by time, care, and instinct. This deep respect for nature, combined with knowledge passed from parent to child, lives on in every bottle we produce.
More than 150 years later, that same grove gave rise to Verde Sol.
Today, we continue this legacy with the same patience and intention. Our olives are carefully tended throughout the year and harvested at the perfect moment, then cold extracted to preserve their purity and character. The result is an olive oil that is vibrant, balanced, and true to its origin, crafted not just from olives, but from history, land, and time.
We are committed to preserving our heritage while embracing thoughtful innovation, improving every step without ever losing our essence. From grove to bottle, our focus remains the same: purity, character, and a connection to origin that can be felt, not just tasted.
As we move forward, Verde Sol continues to grow with intention, sharing our story beyond borders, while staying true to the place and principles that shaped us.
